Six Wednesdays. One Trophy.
Our first proper league season, run as a pilot with a deliberately small field. Two-person teams, one team per bay, a full 18 holes every week, and handicaps that let a 20 beat a 5 on the night.

Week by week
A Different Game Every Week
The format changes every week, so the season doesn’t come down to who hits it furthest. Some weeks reward your own ball, some reward your partner covering for you, and one week you share a single ball and find out how the friendship holds up.
Both play their own ball; the better net score counts.
Both card their own round. Team score is the two nets added.
Best drive, then everyone plays their own ball in.

Double pointsSix nights, six courses — announced week by week, each picked to suit the format being played on it. Bays rotate weekly, so nobody sits on the same setup all season. You play 85% of your index on individual-scoring weeks; team formats carry their own allowance, noted above. Every night runs on Uneekor XO2 with the same baseline settings, agreed with the team captains before Week 1 rather than set by staff alone.

Every week is played net, so bring whatever you already have. There are two ways to get a number, and which applies to you isn’t a choice — it depends on whether you already carry an index.
You already have an index
Submit it by Wed, Sept 30
Carry a current GHIN or 18Birdies Handicap Index? Send us your GHIN number, or a screenshot of your 18Birdies index screen showing your name and the date, and you play off it as it stands, capped at 40.
Nothing else to do. You play no qualifying rounds.
You don’t have one
Sept 10 – Tue, Oct 6
You set your index here, over three 18-hole rounds at Blackhorse Golf Club in Cypress — same course, same tees, same conditions for everyone. Play them any time in the window. Staff sets the bay for you.
Those rounds are included in your entry at no extra charge. Your index is the average, capped at 40.
Then we check our work. The first three weeks are all individual-scoring formats, which gives us clean data on how everybody is really playing. After Week 3 every handicap is recalculated from those actual scores, and adjustments are announced before Week 4. A three-round sample can misjudge somebody — this is the safety net, and it matters because there’s a prize pool on the line.
Entry
$199 Per Player, All In
One price covers the whole season. Membership discounts apply per player, so a Birdie member pays $169 while their non-member teammate pays $199 on the same team.
What your entry covers
- Six league nights — a full 18 holes every Wednesday, bay included.
- Your qualifying rounds, if you need them — bundled in, never billed separately.
- Entry into the season prize pool.
- Two makeup rounds per player per season — can’t make a Wednesday, play that week’s course and format any time before Sunday close.
- Your name on the trophy and a champion’s certificate, if you win the thing.
Worth knowing
- Member discounts apply automatically at checkout — it’s the same discount your membership already gives you everywhere else.
- Register solo or as a pair. Name your partner at sign-up, or let us pair you.
- Eagle members are never wait-listed. If the league fills you’re still in, and you get first pick of makeup times.
- Not a member yet? A season of league bay time is worth several times the entry fee at our regular rates — worth reading the membership maths before you register.
Playing for
$600 minimum prize pool — grows with the field, over $1,000 at a full house.
Half of every entry fee goes straight back into the pool, so the more teams that sign up, the bigger it gets. Two paid places, or three once the field reaches five teams.
There’s something on the line every week too
- $25 bay credit to each week’s winning team.
- Lowest individual net score of the night takes a punch pass or a $25 gift card — your choice, on the four weeks you play your own ball.
Championship Night
- Season Champions — the Birdie Central perpetual trophy, which lives at the club and gets a new nameplate each season.
- MVP — lowest combined gross. MVP* — lowest combined net.
- Most Improved — biggest handicap drop of the season.

What to Sort Before Your First Round
None of this has to happen at checkout — it just has to be done before you tee off, whether that’s a qualifying round or Opening Night.
Three things
- A Whoosh account — you’ll have one the moment you register.
- A free GSPro Web Portal account at portal.gsprogolf.com, created with the same email you register with. This is how we recover your scores if a bay PC goes down mid-round.
- A signed Rules and Player Acknowledgment. We give you the form — sign it any time before your first round. Nothing to sign at checkout.
Cancellations
- Full refund up to the close of registration, Wednesday, September 30.
- Requests must be made in writing to contactus@birdie-central.com.
- After September 30, all payments are final — that’s the point the roster locks and the season is built around who’s in it.
